The whimsical and charming adventure of a little girl called Dee, who gets lost in the woods. She is adopted by a kindly bear with a soft spot for sweets, an ex-domesticated dog who runs faster than he thinks, and a smart aleck vulture who knits, sings shanties, and gets them in all sorts of trouble. They search for Dee's parent's parents, but are hampered by the fact that Dee cannot not talk.
