Overshare Party is a dirty webcomic that updates on Thursdays. It is a semi-autobiographical alternate reality story which focuses on real life sex, sexy dream sequences, and talking cats, which are sometimes sexy. It is made by Shayna Why of shaynawhy.com.

Why all the sex?

Sex is how the species survives. It preoccupies us and drives many of our interactions. It’s fun, and silly, and exciting. It’s as valid a subject as any to tell stories about. Plus I really like drawing boobs.

Why make it autobiographical?

Honestly, I’m not an exhibitionist. I just think it’s best when writers work with material they’ve had first hand experience with. The sex is based on real sex, the dream sequences are based on real dreams, and the cats are based on actual cats, although they’re more fictionalized than the people are. And I don’t have good filters for what constitutes polite conversation, so if you know me, chances are you already know more than you’d like to about my sex life, anyway.

Is everyone okay with this?

I get permission from partners before writing about them, and I usually disguise their appearances. I draw the cats without their consent, but they don’t seem to mind.
