After her parents are kidnapped by the evil witch Helena Nightwolf who came through a portal from another world called Magrea. Twelve year old Louise meets a bird like critter who tells her she has magical powers. They go through a portal to Magrea to find her parents. In Magrea Louise meets a wizard who teaches her how to use her powers at the Magrea School of Magic. At the school she befriends two other human girls named Isla and Arabella. The girls find out about an ancient music box called The Wish Box. Which is underground and gaurded by an evil dragon. They need to find the Wish Box in order to gain stronger powers to defeat the witch. During their journey they meet dwarves, mermaids and unicorns.
