The Back Story – A few hundred years beyond the modern day, inflation and standard of living have caused the poor to basically become animals. Because of the way they live, it was declared that enslaving someone unable to meet the required standard of sustainable life was actually a blessing rather than a denial of freedom. Slaves basically became pets, either acting as companions, servants, bodyguards or entertainment. One of the main forms of slave entertainment is fighting to the death in gladiatorial style battles. Tnemrot is one of the arenas used for these fights.
