Fate is not destiny in Animus. In a world, forever torn by power and morality, birthed by the Shinto Gods, lives a young boy named Cassius Aston. At age 11, his mother was murdered by a mage, before his very eyes. Since that fateful night, Aston has been looking for the man held responsible for the unforgiveable crime that has sparked a cold war between the Militia and the Order. However, 4 years have passed without any luck until members of Ooganaka's anti-magic cult, the Coven, have begun to target Aston and his best friend Kai. With Aston's uncle, Colonel Fuller of the Militia, and Chairman Domos of the Order at war with one another over the morality of magic, animosity ripples throughout the land. But when push comes to shove, will Aston put aside his quest for revenge upon his mother's death? Or will he allow the flames of animus consume him? Only the spirits within the stars know the fate that awaits him.
