The night of the Aurora has been a sacred event in Rusko village, witnessed by countless villagers for thousands of years; all except for one.
As the event has blessed the village with prosperity for many years, young Lumi has never been allowed to witness it. Sick of being unable to take part, she sneaks off with the help of her friend, Clem, to see the Aurora for the first time. However, prosperity is lost when a terrible snow storm hits the village, blocking out the Aurora, along with its gift of good luck.
Is Lumi to blame for such an event or was it merely a horrid coincidence? And who is this woman found unconscious in the snow?
